Supporting Music Programs
Prairie Music Association (PMA) is the only nonprofit music booster club organization that serves College Community School District in Linn and Johnson county students from K-12. PMA is operated exclusively for the charitable and educational purposes of stimulating interest and support for all Music programs in the college community school district.
Being founded in 2002, and serving 1000’s of students each year, we follow the following mission, vision, and goals.
The mission of PMA organization aims to promote and develop participation in all our school district’s vocal and instrumental programs from K-12.
Our vision is to provide support to the district’s volunteer needs, educational endeavors, and financial needs for K-12 vocal and instrumental programs.
The goal of give students in our district the same opportunities to explore and advance their music interests no matter their socioeconomic situation. Students’ engagement in music will provide opportunities to enhance their education excellence.
PMA is proud that in 22 years we have provided music students opportunities to participate in music festivals, competitions, and field trips. Our efforts consist of competitions like Show Choir Invitational and Bands Across the Prairie. Providing band instruments starting in 5th grade, music licensing K-12th grade, uniforms, props, music lessons, workshops, and a variety of music opportunities.

PMA provides support for a broad range of educational endeavors within the District's music programs. Our efforts equip students with uniforms, props, workshops, music lessons, instruments, music and varied performance opportunities.

Meetings
Residents of the College Community School District are cordially invited to attend PMA meetings and, if interested, to place their name in nomination for the board. Elections take place in May for the following school year. Meeting dates and times are published annually on the District calendar and updated on this site during the school year as changes are required.
